Privacy Statement

Introduction

Tailgate Technologies Ltd (“Tailgate,” “we,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy rights of visitors to the Tailgate web site (the “Site”). While visiting the Site, We may ask You ("You" or "Your") to provide information that personally identifies You ("Personal Information") for purposes of interacting with the Site.

We will take measures to ensure that the Personal Information You submit to Us remains private, and is used only for the purposes as set forth herein. To further the protection of Your Personal Information, We have adopted a set of guidelines (outlined below) to describe the Personal Information We collect about You, why We collect it, how We use it and when We share it with third parties.

This Privacy Policy is current with the prevailing Internet technology and business models. Tailgate recognises that these change rapidly, and will periodically and without prior notice update this Privacy Policy as needed. Any changes will be posted to this page, with an Effective Date as listed at the conclusion of this policy.

Information Collected

Tailgate only collects information that You supply to Us. This includes, but is not limited to, personal data (e.g. name, physical address, email address, etc.). This information is only collected when You request additional information not freely presented on the Site, participate in active information gathering (e.g. a survey), or request direct contact from Tailgate. Tailgate may also collect aggregate information (e.g. industry segment represented, geographic region, etc.) regarding users of the Site.

Handling of Information

Tailgate does not provide Personal Information to third parties, except when required to fulfill Your specific requests, or where disclosure is required or permitted by law (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies). We may share non-personal information with third parties, such as number of visitors to the Site on a given day.

This Privacy Policy only addresses information that We collect from You. Other web sites that link to, or are referenced by the Site have their own Privacy Policies, and are not covered by this Privacy Policy in any way.

Personal Information Management

As per the Data Protection Act, you have the right to request a copy of the Personal Information Tailgate may hold about you, and to have any inaccuracies corrected. There is a £10 administrative fee for information requests, and we will require two pieces of approved photographic identification. Please address information requests, or any other comments to the addresses listed at the end of this Privacy Policy.

Cookies

In the context of accessing the Site, a “cookie” is a piece of text sent by the Site to your web browser. The web browser stores this text on the system running the browser, and only the Site can access this text. Additionally, the Site does not have access to any cookies created by other web sites. We cannot learn any Personal Information, such as email address, through the use of this cookie, unless specifically submitted to Us by You.

Tailgate uses the cookie to gather aggregate information, such as what pages are visited within a site, as well as to customize Your experience within the Site. For example, if you have indicated that you are interested in news from a specific region, we may present those news stories first on certain pages. Certain technologies used within the site, such as video players, may also employ cookies for normal operation but do not collect any information not needed to support this normal operation. You can choose not to accept cookies by configuring your web browser to restrict that feature. In this case, you may experience sub optimal version of the Site.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

This policy is effective as of October 8th, 2008. Tailgate reserves the right to modify this policy at any time, and will post a change notice to this page. Your continued use of the Site following our posting of a change notice will constitute binding acceptance of those changes.
